Pokhara 2: Sunrise on the Himalayas.

We took a tiny taxi before dawn almost to the top of the Sarangkot viewing point, to catch the sunrise on the Annapurna range of the Himalayas. As the sun moved it caught and highlighted different edges of the mountains. The great size of the mountains, and the vast space of the valley down below us, contrasted with the silence was a breathtaking spiritual experience. All those people who had made it up there so early were standing in awestruck speechlessness.

Later we decided to climb up to the peak of the mountain.

 The view of Phewa lake.

 Phew! Made it!

There was a small Hindhu shrine near the top.

Mountain Chicken!
